Lipson Neilson Partner Omar Harb, along with Robert Duke of the Markel Insurance Company, have been selected by the American Bar Association (ABA) to co-present “Medicare and Medicaid Bonds” during The Law of Commercial Surety and Miscellaneous Bonds conference. Presented by the ABA’s Fidelity and Surety Law Committee (part of the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section), this national conference will be held May 4-6, 2022, on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.
Stacked with expert speakers from across the country, conference attendees will hear discussions of extremely relevant topics in Commercial Surety Law. Omar Harb and Robert Duke will discuss various topics related to Medicare and Medicaid bonds, with a focus on two competing interpretations of the coverage type under a Medicare bond for durable medical equipment suppliers: claims made or occurrence basis. Lipson Neilson Partner Jeffrey Frank will also attend this conference.
