November 21, 2019, 1:00pm-2:30pm EST, Click here to register.
Technology and the internet are making transformative changes to many businesses and professions, and are sweeping away many things such as brick and mortar retail stores, the taxi industry, MP3 players, and bookstores. Will they sweep away centuries of law dating back to the Statute of Wills of 1540? Lawmakers are rushing to keep up with these challenges.
Arizona, Nevada, Indiana and Florida have already passed legislation to permit the creation and probate of electronic wills. The Uniform Law Commission has adopted a uniform law that can be considered by other states when addressing electronic wills.
This webinar will address some of the variations and options currently available to the public and to lawyers, as well as when the use of electronic will execution might prove helpful, and when it might be beneficial to consider other alternatives.
Speakers:
- Sandra Glazier, Lipson Neilson P.C., Bloomfield Hills, MI
- Turney P. Berry, Wyatt Tarrant & Combs, Louisville, KY
- Bruce Stone, Goldman Felcoski & Stone P.A., Coral Gables, FL
