As a partner at the Lipson Neilson law firm, Karen A. She has co-authored an article on the topic of the statute of limitations and legal malpractice claims featured in the Michigan Defense Quarterly as well as being invited to speak to the Oakland University (MI)-William Beaumont Hospital Graduate School of Nurse Anesthetists on the topic of Medical Malpractice.

Ms. Smyth earned a B.A. from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York and earned her J.D. from the University of Detroit School of Law. She is a graduate of the Litigation Management Institute, and the President of the Michigan Chapter of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance.
